I love this quote

From galapogos of Hardwarezone forum.

If you're fat, it's only because you don't place fitness as your top priority. You choose personal enjoyment, culinary pleasure and whatever else that is making you fat, above being lean. And if you prioritize it that way, then don't blame anyone else, and don't complain about being fat. Simple as that.

A reply from him after i asked for permission to copy.

Haha, Kevin if you wanna piss your prospective client off, go right ahead

I mean this is so true.

One can choose to eat. One can choose to be lazy. At the end of the day, how we look depend on our effort. We can be born with better genes, better features to look better. We must definitely dress up, groom up to look good. If one do not put in effort in personal grooming, you will 99% look bad.

"We are what we eat. We are how we live"

Do not get pissed yet. I have been through all stages. I have been skinny. I have been skinny with high body fat. I have been bulky and high body fat. & my body, a few months ago, is pretty desirable with desirable amount of body fat.

I trained 2-5 times a week, depending on my clients' punctuality. I engage in late night supper. I eat oily and junk food. I am not spared too.

I am not spared from getting a tummy if i don't watch my diet. Well, 27" to 30" isn't desirable. I will prove that HIIT and low volume but high intensity training is the way to lose fat. I will be avoiding all junks food from now on.

In Athens We’ll Make It Six!

Well we’re almost there. This Wednesday evening, the eyes, prayers and dreams of every single Liverpool fan across the world, will be well and truly focused on Athens, as we kick off against AC Milan in the Champions League final. I just can’t wait for things to get started, even typing that last line has sent a shiver up my spine, I think if I get any more excited I might very well explode!

The reason for my extra excitement on this occasion is that I firmly believe that come the final whistle on Wednesday, we will all be celebrating Number 6! This isn’t an easy blog to write because my mind is racing in many different directions at the moment, so apologies if I ramble a bit more then usual, but I will attempt to lay out the reasons why I am so full of confidence about our chances on Wednesday, as logically as I can.

Let’s start with our opponents, and while I have a lot of respect for AC Milan, some of the noises coming out of their camp over the past couple of weeks have done nothing but provide me with an extra bit of confidence. It seems that many of their players such as Cafu, Kaka and most particularly Ricky Tomlinson’s stunt double Gattuso, have been full of talk about revenge for their Istanbul defeat.

Apparently they are pissed off about the fact that we had the cheek to refuse to lay down and die when we were 3-0 down in that game, but that’s fine because if those thoughts are still eating away inside their minds, it can only be good news for us. Besides, we had all this ridiculous revenge talk from CSKA London before our semi final, but it didn’t do them any good and I don’t expect it will do Milan any good either.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank their manager Carlos Talksalotti. I thought it was a great sporting gesture on his part, to help Rafa with his pre-match talk to the players by stating in a recent interview that Liverpool were the worst team of the four semi finalists and nothing but a long ball team etc. Cheers Carlos, I’m sure Rafa will have a copy of that interview pinned to our dressing room wall as an extra little motivational tool for the lads.

I also think we should be thankful to manc boss Alex Fungusface. Not only has he also provided our lads with a nice little piece of motivation by stating that he is “absolutely certain” Milan will beat us in the final, but his ridiculous tactics in the second leg of their semi at the San Siro, has provided Rafa with a nice little training video of exactly what not to do. If we give the Milan players time and space, and our midfield stands back and admires the likes of Kaka and co, instead of actually tackling them, then there is a real danger that we will be demolished and embarrassed in much the same way as the mancs were. So thanks for the reminder Alex, you fucking idiot!

AC Milan are many peoples favourites to win on Wednesday, which of course suits us, but I think their favourites tag is based largely on their performance against the mancs. However, I think the stupid tactics employed by the mancs contributed to their own defeat and has fooled some people into thinking Milan are a better side then they actually are. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are a very good side but when I look through their team I see plenty of reasons for us to feel optimistic about our chances.

I’ve watched them a few times this season and I think they are very vulnerable at the back. Their keeper Dida is extremely dodgy and their back four doesn’t seem to be as organised as it once was. I think Nesta is a brilliant player and one of the best defenders in Europe but other then him they seem to struggle. Maldini and Cafu were both World Class players in their day but these days they seem to have slowed down a lot and as for Oddo, I think his best performances were on Star Trek, Deep Space Nine. If we can get a decent supply into our forwards I think we will cause this defence a lot of problems.

In the 2005 final they had a formidable strike force of Crespo and Shevchenko (in the days before he was destroyed by Jose Moaninho). These days they play with just one upfront and on Wednesday it will either be Gillardino or Inzaghi and to be honest I don’t think much of either. Gillardino is really nothing more then a workhorse and while Inzaghi was a great striker in his day, that day seems to have long since passed.

However, if ever that old cliché about the game being won and lost in midfield were true, its certainly true of this game because that is the area where Milan are extremely formidable. Pirlo, Ambrosini and Seedorf are all very good players, Gattuso is one of the best battlers in the game, but the crème de la crème of their midfield is most definitely Kaka.

There’s no doubt he is a wonderful player and as far as I’m concerned, the best footballer in the world at the moment. He is the key player for Milan and I’m sure he will be central to Rafa’s thinking ahead of the game, because if we can stop Kaka we will effectively nullify the majority of their threat. However, the good news is that we’ve been there before. In 2005 he tore us apart time and again in the first half but once Didi Hamann came on in the second half, Kaka totally disappeared from the game. No doubt Rafa is very aware of this and I’d expect Mascherano in particular will be asked tofill the Hamann role this time.

So what eleven will Rafa put out to get the job done? Well your never quite sure what his tactical plan will be but as I’ve already made my case for Harry Kewell in an earlier blog, I think our starting line-up will have the usual suspects across the back, Gerrard on the right of midfield with Alonso and Mash in the middle and the Wizard of Oz on the left, and Kuyt playing upfront alongside Crouch. The other options to this is that he might play Riise on the left of midfield with Arbeloa behind him and he might decide to go for pace upfront and play Bellamy instead of Crouch.

With those one or two exceptions I think that would essentially be our line up. Alonso and especially Mascherano will be given the job of keeping Kaka quiet with Gerrard and Kewell/Riise tasked with keeping the Milan full backs out of the game. However, with so much of Milan’s strength in their midfield, I think there’s also a chance that Rafa might decide to counter this by playing three central midfielders and perhaps using Finnan and Riise as wing backs.

There are also at least another couple of variations to our line-up that I can come up with, off the top of my head but the point I’m making is that we have plenty of options. AC Milan, as good as they are, essentially always play pretty much the same way and although they are good at it, its predictable. Our side is a lot more versatile and Milan will be left guessing about our line-up up until the last possible minute and this will give Rafa a big tactical advantage ahead of the game.

These are some reasons why we should feel good about our chances but the real reason for my confidence comes down to this. AC Milan are a very good side but other then midfield, they are not nearly as strong as the side we beat in 2005, whereas our side is far stronger now, then it was then.

I also believe we would be the most deserving winners of the competition. Afterall we topped our qualifying group, beat the holders Barcelona in the last 16 and we also beat the favourites CSKA London in the semi’s, and I think both of those sides are better then Milan.

Before the final in 2005 I was desperately hoping we would win, this time I know we can. Of course, being Liverpool I don’t expect we’ll do things the easy way and no doubt we’ll be given a few frights along the way but I firmly believe we will win on Wednesday. My money’s on a 2-1 scoreline to The Reds and “old big ears” returning to Anfield for a sixth time!

SO C’MON YOU REDS, HISTORY AND NUMBER 6 AWAITS!!

Final Score: We lost 2-1. :(

Sorry ladies, but detox is a scam

Please visit my new website for all my updated articles. Thank you!

I am so sorry to those ladies who tried Detox. It's a scam.

Detox diet

Detoxification

BBC's comments about detox

Comments from fellows

My personal comments.
Detox is a scam. The best detox system is our bodies itself. If you have trouble going to move your bowel everyday, eat more fiber. If not, you can just get overpriced fiber supplement from any MLM. Alternatively, eat more banana.

Detox can have many testimonials. But do take note of the consumers' lifestyle/diet before & after. That's the difference!

Any average or inferior products by MLM can be praised to the sky easily. They are good in sales good, they are able to convince you. Let me talk to you face-to-face. I'll see which side you stand.

A comment made by my client tonight.
"S-factor doesn't work for me. They (distributors) said i must replace all 3 meals for it to work"
HOLY, replace all 3 meals and take less than 600 calories/day? Who will not lose weight (not fat) with that?

Detox diet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A detox diet is a dietary regimen involving a change in consumption habits in an attempt to "detoxify" the body by removal of "toxins" or other contaminants. It is claimed to improve health, energy, resistance to disease, mental state, digestion, as well as aiding in weight loss.[citation needed]

Various methods of modifying the diet for the said purpose of "detoxification" include but are not limited to:

* Fasting, including water fasting and juice fasting.
* Increased consumption of fish such as salmon
* Food combining.
* Calorie restriction.
* Herbal detox (if one considers herbs food and not a form of drug).
* Master Cleanse also known as the lemonade diet, terms coined to refer to the fasting paradigm penned by Stanley Burroughs

"Detox" diets usually suggest that fruits and vegetables compose a majority of one's food intake. Limiting this to unprocessed (and sometimes also non-GM) foods is often advocated. Limiting or eliminating alcohol is also a major factor, and drinking more water (which helps curb appetite)[citation needed] is similarly recommended.

Some proponents of "detox" diets would emphasize it as a lifestyle, rather than a diet. It has made some appearances in the media, such as in Morgan Spurlock's 2004 documentary film Super-Size Me. Literary references include "Ultimate Lifetime Diet"[2] by Gary Null advocating veganism as a (lifestyle) method of "detoxification".

Critics point out that the human liver, kidneys, lungs and skin have evolved to adequately expel environmental contaminants and are perfectly equipped to continue to do so unassisted. Prof. Alan Boobis writes:[1]

"“The body’s own detoxification systems are remarkably sophisticated and versatile. They have to be, as the natural environment that we evolved in is hostile. It is remarkable that people are prepared to risk seriously disrupting these systems with unproven ‘detox’ diets, which could well do more harm than good.”

It has been posited that some fruits and vegetables may actually contain more natural toxins than animal substances such as meat, fish, and milk. Dr John Emsley writes:[1]

"Many of the detox diets and supplements really aren’t that good for you, nor have they been properly tested. These alternative remedies are currently being looked at by chemists on account of the toxic natural chemicals they contain"

Some critics cite the high mercury content in some fish as a risk factor. Additionally, sudden changes in diet have been linked to fainting and other medical issues.

Detox diets may not be the safest form of weight loss if they are one of the restrictive ones (such as water fasting or the Master Cleanse) that may result in nutrient deficiencies. The lack of proteins in most "detox" diets (due to omitting animal products and legumes) often results in diminishing muscle mass due to insufficient amino acids for repair. With less lean muscle tissue, the body's metabolic needs decrease, which hampers weight loss efforts unless calories are lessened further in the diet.

While many people have provided testimonials to their health improvements in following a "detox" diet lifestyle, some of these people may have started the detox diet after coming off an unhealthy diet high in sugar and processed food that may lack nutrients. Any improvements cited from such people would only prove the effectiveness of a detox diet over an average diet, and not that it is the ideal diet that doesn't carry its own unique health risks.

Some of the changes recommended in a "detox" lifestyle are ones that agree with mainstream medical advice- such as consuming a diet high in fruits and vegetables. Separating the beneficial effects of such changes from the rest of the recommendations made in a "detoxifying" diet is difficult if not impossible. Determining whether supposed results of a "detox" diet come from "purfiying" the body of "toxins" or simply due to improving one's intake of fruits and vegetables is not possible.

Detox
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Detoxification)
Jump to: navigation, search
This article is about detoxification. For Dr. Dre's forthcoming album, see Detox (album). For Treble Charger's 2002 album, see Detox (Treble Charger album). For the House episode, see Detox (House episode)

Detox, short for detoxification, in general is the removal of toxic substances from the body. It is one of the major functions of the liver, lower gastrointestinal tract and kidneys, but can also be achieved artificially by techniques such as dialysis and (in a very limited number of cases) chelation therapy.

Other less mainstream methods for eliminating toxic substances from the body include the modification of the diet and addition of certain herbs and rituals such as Colon hydrotherapy, Body cleansing juice fasting and sweat lodges. All these methods are claimed to assist the body's natural detoxification process. Drug detox is performed in many different ways depending on where you decide to receive treatment. Most drug detox centers simply provide treatment to avoid physical withdrawal to alcohol & other drugs. Ideally, a trained detox facility will incorporate counseling and therapy during detox to help with the psychological distress that the individual may experience as well.

Specific meanings of detoxification or detox:

* A form of drug rehabilitation, used to treat alcoholism or other drug addiction. The process involves abstinence to clear the drug from the body, accompanied by social and environmental support during the associated physiological and psychological changes. A non-drug method for detox from drugs or alcohol is acupuncture detoxification.
* A class of diets whose underlying assumption is that the body accumulates toxins that must be purged, especially after unhealthy periods such as over-eating during festivals. Toxins, in this case, refer to toxic substances - often of undefined nature - from foods, the environment and the body's own wastes. "Detox diet" is a common phrase, as is "I'm on a detox". See detox diet.
* Forms of complementary medicine that claim to remove such toxins from the body: for instance, by herbal, electrical or electromagnetic treatments. As the definition of toxins in this and the previous context has little scientific basis, the validity of such techniques is questionable. There is no evidence for such accumulation; the liver and kidneys automatically detoxify and excrete many toxic materials, including metabolic wastes. Under this theory if toxins are too rapidly released without being safely eliminated (such as burning fat that stores toxins) they can pollute the body causing malaise.
* A process by which a substance is made less toxic.
* A marketing term started in 2004 by Evian to sell their bottled water. Marketing catchlines include: "detox with evian," "evian.detox," "evian - your natural detox," and "drink at least 1.5L of evian every day to help cleanse your system inside out." The marketing campaign has included a five-step process aimed at personal health. Although the first step advocates drinking any kind of water, they claim: "Evian is especially good because its pure waters are filtered through the mineral-rich Alpine region." There is no consensus among health experts that Evian is healthier than any other type of processed potable water.

Although detox diets may make you feel better, the scientific basis for such a stringent diet is somewhat lacking

Your daily diet should contain at least five portions of fruit and vegetables as well as lean meat, carbohydrates and dairy products

Another 2 summons in a day?

I got 1 at 4pm. I chuck it onto my dashboard.

Got another 1 at 7pm....

BUT These 2 summons are kind of cute right?

This pic was pretty funny. The arm rest is dirty, so mel and i just have to avoid touching each other.

Zeroes

Have you been watching "Heroes"? It's nice. Now, some boring creative people are doing a parody of the series - Zeroes.

Anyway, let me talk about MLM/SLM. Basically, they are network marketers. Their main drive? PROFITS.

They don't care more or less about your main concern. I am fighting a losing battle against S-factor, which i think their company is LFI. Ladies are more tempted to their way of 3 s-factor a day diet to lose weight (Muscle and bone mass in this case) than doing it the right way. You wont thrive with 500+calories/day. I wish good luck to all these people. Just survive and hope you can live with the extra fat in the long run.

1 of my clients who lost 3kg, 1.5" off her waist in 5 sessions after taking up PT with me, is not satisfied with her progress. (She told me that she is happy. because she can keep eating and lose weight)
She bought 1 bottle of s-factor from them. but after listening to me again, she decided to go 3 normal meals and 3 s-factor meals.

ok, 1 serving of s-factor is 38 calories, that's less than a can of coke. they claimed the micro nutrient can "preserve your muscle mass, while losing fat mass". this is a joke! if that's the case, all bodybuilders will buy s-factor already. since losing fat while preserving muscle is so easy.

i will try to convince you all once, if you still want to go to fad diet phrase, good luck to you.

refer to my previous article.

Case A
By starving oneself or by eating very little. E.g. 3 apples a day (it definitely won’t keep the doctor away!)

3 apples give around 300 calories. Your maintenance level can be 1500 calories a day. By eating so little, your body starts to protect yourself, shutting some of the system. Your metabolism can also crawl to a real low. This is because of the huge muscle loss.

Yes, you can definitely lose a lot of weight down here. But you will look so pale, like you may faint anytime.

So what happen after you resume your usual diet? Since your metabolism is so low, you will have a lot of excess calories. So get ready to put on a lot of fat mass. You will become “bigger” (I actually mean fatter) than before.

Private transport in Singapore

Price of diesel has gone up, does the quality went up too?

Previous tank.
Total pump: 38.42L
Price after discount: $41.84
Mileage: 493km
km/L: 12.83
$/10km: ~85 cents

Current tank.
Total pump: 39.64L
Price after discount: $45.57
Mileage: 560km
km/L: 14.13
$/10km: ~81 cents

From here, although price has risen, but i have spend lesser money on driving. That's a good thing. But the thing is, i don't rev my engine anymore, i seldom or almost never speed anymore, i don't drag my engine for faster pick up anymore.

Well, that's why, to save petrol/diesel, control your right foot better. :D

--------------------------------------------

After the salaries hike of a certain group in Singapore, you can see the authorities are working harder. Many of my friends get summon which they never get for the past few years. I kenna the same thing. In fact, i was summoned like 3-4 times for the past 3 weeks. Total damage is around $200. 1 van = $200. 100,000 vans in singapore = $2,000,000. That's good. We can support the pay hike.

--------------------------------------------

In order to have better fuel consumption, i am a good driver who drive to the speed limit. On my way back just now, i saw 1 marked TP camping at road shoulder, another unmarked vehicle parked just below a bridge, he was camping with a camera behind a pillar.

Just be careful to all drivers out there, they are getting SNEAKY again. Is it worth it to drive just a little bit faster so that you can reach your destination 2 minutes faster for a usual 20km trip?

---------------------------------------------

After so much price hikes, is the condition of the road better now?

NO!

Roads are still so congested during peak hours. Any accident will cause a major jam. At lentor aveune just now, i can see instants of danger "works". It's a 3-lane road. On lane 3 (extreme left), there will be some cones at the road side, so, you can see vehicles trying to avoid by entering a little into lane 2 (middle lane). But without 5 meters at lane 1, there's cones too. So what may just happen down here? Accidents. Cars at lane 2 are the worst, they have to take care of newbies drivers who "eat" too much into their lanes. From both sides!

On this same stretch of road, while on my way back home at 9pm, it is still so congested. Well, people do a lot of overtimes. The road is so crowded, then you can see TP stopping vehicles at lane 3. So you can imagine lane 3 is "blocked". Just went the traffic is getting better, there's another police van stopping a car just less than 100m ahead. Well done!

ERP at CTE is now $4.50 for a gate for that 30minunte. I mean, assuming i work at vivo city, is there any other road which i can travel to work? CTE is the only way. I can travel through Thomson road and detour here and there. But assuming people start avoiding CTE and go Thomson, you will be seeing ERP at Thomson sooner or later. In another words, we are all FUCKED.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I am ready to give up my private transport anytime. It does not save me much time anymore. A van can reach a destination faster than a car.

I tried going out on BMW. (Bus MRT Walk). It's not any better. I'm ok with the crowded, since Singapore is really densely populated. But am i willing to spend an hour waiting for a bus? I don't think so. The routes are not so well planned.

I tried taking a cab at 11pm on anyday. Long ques everywhere without much taxi stopping for people. I tried calling all companies, none of them picked up my call. Well done. Singapore has been driven to such low level just to earn those extra few bucks.

Look at the public transport system in NYC. If Singapore were to have that, i will gladly GIVE UP my private transport and rely on the public transport. I don't mind paying more. Seriously, i just want to get to my destination on time!

Let's see what our elites are going to do to improve this First-World country.

I have got so sicked of driving. I am not satisfied with the public transport. What can i do?

Think thrice before you consider getting yourself a private transport. It's just not worth it. You can save more by booking a cab everytime, assuming you only travel to work, leisure on weekends and home.
