My pick for Euro 2008 Final!

Germany V Spain tonight. Now, i have no idea why Spain is the favourite. From what i see, Germany should be the favourite. They definitely have more experience and nerve to play better in final. Remember that they can play like shit and still win!

Here are my picks for tonight.

A ghost story......

My gf & I experienced it personally.

Last saturday, we went to worm's sister's house for KTV. Someone from swiftclubSG is buying my exhaust tip and will travel to the place. I brought the tip up to the house and wait for this buyer's call.

Anyway, i got a sms from the buyer and i have to travel down to proceed to the deal.

My gf accompanied me.......

Worm's sister stays on the 14th story. You know la, these lift will stop at every level and we are able to see outside from inside the lift.

The lift stopped at the 9th level. My gf kept saying "there's an old man outside, there's an old man outside".

BUT i dont see anybody.

Me "Confirm got old man? I don't see anyone!!"
gf "YES, got old man!"

DAMM. The lift door open.... I repeat again.

Me "Confirm got old man? I don't see anyone!!"
gf "YES, got old man!"



At this point...........................














The old man appeared right in the middle (front of lift).............













From the side. -_-"
He was in my blind spot la.

Then the old man said "you guys can go down first, i will wait for the next one..."


HERE COME THE SCARY PART!!!

Then the lift close and we go down la.













That's the end. Now, is this the scary part?

Rant post

It has been a long time since i ^#$@%@%@$. Here it goes...

1) If you are waiting by the roadside, common sense will tell you to stand on the pavement (on the grass patch if you want to). You will NEVER stand on the road. It makes thing harder when it's hard to differentiate who is slimmer when compared to Mosses Lim!

2) Gaining Fat/Losing muscle.

Simple. Our body hates muscle and loves fat. Our body will always try to put on as much fat as possible while having the least muscle to support your lifestyle. Yes, this is why we will go to the gym to stress our body with heavy load so that we will put on muscle to support the lifestyle.

We won't gain muscle or lose fat overnight. I use a window of 2 weeks.

If you workout hard consistently and eat well for 2 weeks, you will be able to see progress. Hence, if you eat badly and don't workout for 2 weeks, then it's possible for you to see some fat gain. You will NEVER lose muscle or gain fat over a period of a day or 2, or just 1 cheat meal.

If you are having a holiday, it's a holiday FFS. Enjoy it. Don't think so much about workout or diet. If you know you have been working out hard for the past few weeks/months. Take a break.

3) Diet

These food can make you fat!
-refined/processed food (esp carbs)

1 apple is good. 1 glass of apple juice is bad.
Flour is bad.
Chicken with skin are good/ok.
Fried chicken is bad COZ it's chicken + flour.
Prata are bad coz it's flour.
*see something in common now? It's always refined/processed carbs.

Before you wanna eat something and SMS me "hey will eating xxx make me fat/lean", apply this logic and think. It's ok to ask once or twice in a month or so. But asking every other day is %@$#!$!#. I have many clients. Imagine all clients asking me once a day if eating xxx is ok or not. I am going to die from SMS flooding.

Apply this logic with point (2), if you were to eat junk for a meal. Will this make you fat? No.
If you were to eat junk at least once a day for 2 weeks, will this make you fat? Yes!
If you were to workout hard and eat well for a day, will you slim down? No!

4) Drinking

Drinking alcohol is bad, real bad. It's not about calories already. It's about hormonal effect. Go do some research on your own. If you were to drink once a week, heh, i will say it's pretty bad. Drink till you puked a few times that night is worse.

err, this point is not really a rant, but it's for knowledge sharing. Drinking once a week (till you puke) is not going to help you to achieve that 6 pack.

5) If i were to reject your call, it may mean i'm working or having my private time. Don't bother to call again. This happen that night...

ahah, once again i need to stress. My gf has suffered a lot recently. I have been working 7 days a week and it's hard for me to find time to enjoy with her. Let's us enjoy our sweet moments please.

This blog entry is just for me to rant. Don't take it too hard coz i told you guys about this in training this week. I just gotta stop bottling up.

monday!

it has been a long time since i can wake up late, 10am to be exact. I feel so refreshed!

Had a new pair of client today. A couple. heh
And it's the first time i see a guy with perfect posture!! He said he has knee pain and i can probably deduce it's due to inhibited glut muscle. His ankle are ok leh.

Well, he has no flat back etc etc, no scapular winging, everything is just so OK!

3 problems with him
1) pretty inhibited glut - knee pain
2) fail SBJ - no hip movement
3) slight over development at left upper trap - carry sling bag.

well, he's going to be the one who will progress the FASTEST if he work hard.

Just received a call from a trainer cum bodybuilder. he offered me to work for him at a certain country club. if i had just returned from china, i would certainly take up the offer.

hmmm, just wondering how he get lobang to manage a gym one... heh

Ankle mobility

If you are experiencing any or a combination of the things below, you may have poor ankle mobility.

  1. frequent ankle sprains
  2. unable to do a full squat (hip below knee) – heel raised up usually
  3. unable to do a lunge with front heel on floor
  4. shin pain
  5. knee pain

The list goes on….

Our ankles are made for mobility. If our ankles are not mobile, our knees (which require stability) will be forced to be mobile.

Here what you can do to improve your ankle mobility.

To further improve your ankle mobilty, you can do the drill at an angle. Your toe will be higher than your heel and continue with the same movement shown in the video.

If you feel stretch at your calves, then you have poor calves flexibility. Just remember to add some calves stretch.

If you don't know the different between "lock out" (mobility problem) or "stretch" (flexibility problem), then you will need help more people who know it.

time for update!

I may be caught speeding last night!! hehe

Not sure what speed they clock me, but i was going 80kph on a 70kph when i saw them. I may be going faster or slower, i dont know. The road is empty and it's hard to keep to speed limit.

Probably a warning, or at most 4dps and $130.

Most of my clients are going full deadlift now. Well, it's not hard to get it right.

Current best record is 1kg/week gain for Singh.
Best movement goes to Gary Heng.
Best enlightenment is Vinson. ahha

another busy week has gone. come to think of it, i am working 7 days a day. si beh pia hor?

All these are the supplement which i'm going to start tomorrow. Just curious how big i can go. I'm still doing 4-day split currently. Seeing some gain now. Very close to 68kg. :x

Come july or august, will split training with parts (maybe) and train up some smaller muscle parts. Here and there, can give me chao chao 2kg la. But i'm feeling i'm getting too big (when pumped). Singlet are getting too tight. Look gay...

Anyway, gonna do some prehab work later and sleep early tonight. Tml is another work day plus my workout day. (deadlift + bench)!

geeezzz

This war is very strange. I do know the people read forums such as fp, hwz, opts and nfft. I know some of them come to my blog and flame me, some or more flame at louis.

What make people do crazy thing?

popularity/traffic of website?
jealousy?
hate?
think you are not good enough to be a PT coz you are not big enough?
lots of possibilities.

Anyway, good that my clients are backing me up. :x
I may not need recognisation (or whatever word) from the public. As long as my clients are happy enough, that's enough. I am just serving my clients, not everyone. Now, who can possibly please 100% of the people right?

I dont know why i blog about this, maybe i'm affected by what's going on, people acting pros and hardcore (hey, i'm being labelled by 1 in the forum so far too btw).

I guess i'm just happy helping people attaining their fitness goals and earn money at the same time. Come to think of it. What's my fitness goal? I dont know. Nothing. :)
