i have not reach 75kg yet. weight drop from 72kg to 69kg since i start working in march.

this 5 months break definitely feel good. it's time! again. will be taking picture of my own progress and see how far i can go.

training will start in oct! ending is mid dec for the festive season.

effect of ageing

everyone is undergoing ageing 24/7, no exception except in some situations.


transformation!
ie from no grooming, fat, etc etc to well groomed, lose weight (fat), improve in personality etc. Transformation can make one look younger.

Unfortunately, i had 1 big transformation a few years ago already. & fortunately i have got into a long relationship with Sha. HAHA

some positive effect of ageing.
more $ in bank
private transport
credit card
can afford almost anything that you want
life becomes more comfortable

all these are very materialistic but life will get uncomfortable when one hits a certain point of decline.

this will be the end of my another bo liao entry.

no negative effect coz i'm a positive person! (ok la, some winklers la. ok la, a lot of winkles but i really find them cool at my age.)

woohoo

i have just called to cancel my debit card when i received the annual fees.


i feel it's darn stupid to pay an annual fee for a debit card. maybe it's capitaland la, the rebate are all getting too low, 0.3% for sakae sushi is way to little.

anyway, it's definitely not safe to own a credit card if i have self-discipline to control my own finance. the saving account tagged to the card can get wiped out in a day if someone get access to the card.

time to have... credit card. =)

Soccer soccer soccer!!!

Score 1 super long range from right wing last week for Ishkawa. We are 2-0 down and I pulled 1 back. Unfortunately, we lost 4-1.


Score from a corner kick again today for Team FJC with my left foot. We still lose 2-0 down though.

If anyone knows a ref named Tony, please avoid him. With 1 leg off the ground during throw in, with no offside etc, he can give you the classic reason "I old liao, cannot see properly" etc.

NB, if old, don't mess up people's game.

Anyway, that's my 5 CK direct goal. :)

Birthday is over

A few things happened over the past week.

First, I have keep buying this 4-digit number for 2-3 weeks and I stopped. It came in starter prize that saturday. MISSED it.

I have this strong feeling that i will strike 4D on my birthday! ok, i have forget to buy because i am so tired. My no came in first prize last night!! 2nd MISS! but ah, i have stopped buying that number for MONTHS.

Feeling dejected, feeling sad. Wonder what i can do with the prize money if i were to buy! (Rims + Tyre + coil + rings + trip + ++ + ++ + + + )

Today is my 8th straight working days. Feeling a little tired from work also. Need a day break or something.

Feeling sad because i have no time to rest!

Now, i can go on feeling negative and let this affect me and then more bad luck may probably follows.

But NO!

I'm feeling so happy. At least I can understand something. I should just choose 1 set of no and stick to it. If tio 4D, good, can go on a spending spree. If not, life goes on, i don't depend the prize money for a living.

I feel good because i get to work.

Birthday week is overall good. Got a dozen underwears, new working bag and lot of well wishes online and SMS.

Remember, you control your life, don't let it control you!

suzuki swift v toyota altis

There's new additions to my family. Will blog about others later. Let's talk about altis.


Toyota Altis SGJ plate, someone told me it's G9.5, ah not sure, let's assume it's G9.5.
1600cc, automatic transmission, silver colour.

Things i like about this altis as compared to swift
The ultra big boot, it's like 5-6 times bigger than swift!
The ultra number of compartments. I can store so many little things everywhere!
The ultra 2 layered center arm rest, can store many things too!
The auto transmission, ah, so easy to drive.
The ultra huge space in the car - can hanky panky in the car liao!
It definitely feel better at high speed for this car.

Things i don't like!
Harder to handle. I have to take care not to hit the rear bumper etc, definitely cannot do a // parking for this car atm.

That's about it! ahah

If you are alone in the car or with 1 other person most of the time, a swift will be good. Life is good coz i drive a swift. The fun of driving. You can really feel it.

If you have a family, of coz, altis is the choice. A no brainer.

But then hor, i will rather choose hyundai avante for a family car coz it's cheaper!

i'm actually bottling up a lot of things in me, but i'm glad i let out a lot of fustration inside me.

take everything easy man.

have a tummy? do something about it if you hate it.
no $ or anything materialistic here? work for it!
most important thing in life: be self contented with what you have, aim a little higher slowly each time. at this rate i'm going, i will earn my first million in like 400+ months? heh

no problem if i'm not a millionaire in cash and asset, but i'm a multi-millionaire in life, experience and happiness.

been a long 10 years or more since we know 1 another. these are the friends who will go on forever. we ask nothing from each other, except the companionship and friendship.

glad to have you all buddies.

glad to have sha, we will be signing the lease for our first flat next week liao. excited? all the life away from parents & leonard, all by ourselves soon.

glad to have my current career going on. everything will progress together, the business and i.

and no, i have been pushing clients to my friends, but i still love to be called a skinny PT, skinny fat is ok too.

The low of my life

these are the current lows of my life coz i'm too pampered.


*low mean not so nice things happening, or a bit of anguish ones.

1) Clubbing in gyms.
Gym is definitely not enjoyable at Yishun clubfit at the moment. Bishan and TPY CF are closed temporarily till 31 Jul 2009. These regulars will have to look for other gyms, yishun cf is one of them.

Getting into a gym from 7pm is like entering a club, except that most of us are sweating. We will stink because there is poor air circulation in enclosed area. The air con is not cold enough.

I grasp for air each time i finish 1 set. Imagine the stinky smell from all the guys and some ladies. YUCKS 

ps: i don't smell that good, but i don't smell that bad.

2) Almost got crashed by this taxi.
at newton circle. Dumb arse. I come from bukit timah road wanna go to scott road. This taxi comes from dont know where into carnhill area. (So you get the idea of our entry and exit point)

I keep to left most lane, nothing wrong yeah? I make sure road is clear then i go.
This taxi is at right most lane and just want to cut 2-3 lanes into the road he wanna enter. 
Whose fault? Not mine, not his. So what's the problem?
He should not drive so fast. 
He jammed brake.
His taxi is just 20cm away from my right driver door. He just pressed and hold onto his honk.
OH well, i just ignored him and drive away. If the road is clear, i will just get off and give him a good talking to.

DAARN IT

A new beginning... this thursday!

I cannot stand driving 2 hours a day to and back from office just to slack in the office, surf net, watch DVD etc.


The reason why i give up doing a full time trainer is because i want to get working experience. 

Handed in my letter of resignation last monday and i'm a free man from this monday till.... thurs.

I'm real lucky i must say. 

Bought a copy of straits times and checked out the recruit section and out there i sent my resume to this 1 ad. (I sent to another ad too, but i forget to attach my resume so i will not get any response from that company. LOL)

Received a call on fri, interview mon morning and i'm selected. 

woot woot

Salary is confidential!

Will start work this thurs as a Sales & Operation Executive.

ok, enough of this boring story but i will probably share what my job scope is like another time.

It's darn wide range and it will give me enriching experiences in many aspects of business.

i'm feeling fit

had a soccer match yesterday. i can feel the strength in my body once again. thanks to the fico session last sun with ishkawa and my willingness to put in more effort in training.

Had a few sprints during the game, able to control the ball etc, not tired at all!

Fighting fit yah!

just had a knock on my ankle myself towards the end of the game. dumb me.

My personal training session is getting shorter. Trained at least twice a week, 30min each time.
Each training consist of 8 sets of compound, maybe 2 sets of isolation, hiit and core training.

Though weight dropped to 68kg after i started work, it's slowly creeping back to 71kg and above. heheh

If i were to be given the choice of gaining 5kg of muscle or earning another 50k sgd in a year, i will gladly choose the money.

what do you want in your life?

I have see so many people striving so hard for every fucking things in their life. They want the biggest house, the biggest car, even if it means working and slogging for it.

I mean why do you need a bigger car when you can survive well with a smaller one? Better quality of life? Maybe, but at the expenses of unhappiness of achieving the happiness?

To be really happy in life, one has to know self-content.

There is seriously no need to be the best in everything, but being good or even average is good enough.

Here's my goals in 4 years.
1) My own 3-room flat, newly renovated according to our tastes.
2) My own car, or the current "life is good swift".
3) Happily married.

1) Park your vehicle at level 4 means you are lazy.
He parks at level 1, walk 20m to the lift and take the lift to the office at level 6.
I drive to level 4, walk 15m to the lift, climb 40 steps to level 6.

2) I do a shrug to move my shoulders.
See la, train so much also injured!

3) I eat nothing but green, eggs and meat.
Your body need rice for energy to survive, later get cholesterol then you know.

4) "I called but nobody picks up the phone, he must have left his phone in the office, go check."
I called and the person answered my call within 10 seconds.

5) There's no water in the thermal flask already. Better get it filled with water, if not exploded then you know.
I checked the flask, there's about 1.8L of water in the 3.6L flask.

6) Help me correct my grammar coz i just make those mistakes sometimes.
I edited the email and he went on to change everything back to original. He said he want to emphasize some facts, those things need to come first in all sentences.

6) You are always so lazy! Ask you to check anything, you always use the internet, learn how to use the phone directory!
Went on to check phone directory, the numbers are outdated with a 2009 verson. Googled and the latest number came out within 10 seconds.

7) On driving 2 guests + boss to the hotel...
Use your car la (suzuki swift). We went on to squeeze 2 luggages, my gym bag + shoes bag + foam rollers + 1 box in my car boot.
4 adults in the car with 1 luggage on the guest's lap...
when he has a saloon car with empty boot for 3 person.

8) When inside my car...
it's like his car wor. knock on the window so hard nevermind one, since you are my employee, i am superior.

9) I come to office because i want to nag at people.
When you do A, he wants you to do B, then nag why you don't do B method. When you did a B for him, he will NAG why you are so extra, just use method A.
His working methods have to be changed everyday to suit don't know what.

Life is good

Coz i drive a swift~ ahha, no time bo blog, time to update.


Life is really busy but wonderful at the moment.

I've got a full time job that pays me.
I've got a part time job that is very fulfilling.
I've got a business which is NOT losing money.
I've chose my flat, which will be built (i hope) later this year and ready in 2013 or earlier.
I've chose my Mrs Right to live together with and love her for my whole life.

With lesser time to handle more clients, i decided to get quality clients which will improve my portfolio. An Australian started training with me today! Thanks god communication is not much of a problem so far.

His problems include RC and groin injury for the past few years. He trained with KB in the UK with a current famous KB-er. He got muscular and lean at 12% before.

Sounds real good, but his body took too much beating to achieve that. His body is plagued with lots of problem right now. 

Right groin, right RC, poor posture, inhibited glute and tva, wrong breathing pattern, locked up rib cage, wrong movement, scapular winging.

He's the perfect guy who can work with me right now. I improve his physical condition while i can improve my portfolio! ahah

hmmm, i've got a full time job as some of you know. The pay is decent in times like this. Hundred of people fighting for 1 job! I'm really lucky to get a job and i spent only 2 weeks hunting for one.

Oh yar, i have chose my unit in dew spring. Even though my que no is 212 out of 216 available units, i managed to get a unit at level 12! So so lucky. Just hope that the take up rate for 2-room is at least 70% so that dew spring can go ahead.

well well well, nothing much to update. Time to sleep!

long time no blog

time for some rubbish here.

1) Stung by bee
was having teh when i got stung for no reason by a bee. swelling, itchiness, and redness started to appear on the next day. It's the 3rd day now and it's slightly better. Sleeping with this thing is hard!

2) Ever changing rims of swift.

The first rims i changed to. Ultra light weight ce28n replica, matt black with red outline. Cost me $230.



CE28n replica, gloss black with chrome lips. cost me $10.

Then i changed back to the matt black with red outline rims, earn $50.

Next is this good original rims.

racing hart cp 035c.

costs me like $40 after selling my rims and tyres. i got another stock tyre as you can see. 


decided that light weight rims is not for me. try my luck in selling. sold for $360 (after spending $40 on spacer) and got this white spoon replica in return.
aha, this spoon sports look so good on picture. it's so cute. close to stock rim, but it's white, just what i want!

3) Salon's biz
for feb is pretty good. got some return. hopes the biz will continue to improve.

Scapular winging

Valentine's Day Special article. Let's talk about love, our angels, halos and angel wings.

Scapula is our shoulder blade. There are a lot of muscle attached to the scapula, creating movement in our shoulders and arms. All these muscle must work together so that there is proper movement. Without proper movement and muscle activation, imbalances can occur. ie, some muscle work harder, some muscle start slacking away.

Scapular winging can be spotted easily. 
It look likes a pair of wings on our body.

An imbalance training program that consist of too much upper body pushing or lack of training can both cause it.

95% of my clients have scapular wingings. Here's a checklist to find out if you have problems from it.

  • You can see your wings on your back
  • You encounter pain/ache in at least 1 of the following muscle frequently
    • arms
    • shoulders
    • upper trap
  • Pain in shoulder joint

Most of the cases i see belong to the mild category. It can be fixed easily as long as you do your rehabiliation properly.

Rehabiliation work

SMFR to the following muscle/bones.

  • chest
  • upper trap
  • lats
  • upper back
  • thoracic joint

Mobilize the following joint

  • Shoulder joint
  • thoracic joint

Activation the following muscle

  • Scapular muscle
    • Standing cobra (week 1)
    • Behind the neck pull apart with a shrug (week 2)
    • DB press static hold (week 3)

54 hours after impact.

i went back to work just now. can walk with a limp, i need to keep my left knee in the same angle when i limp.


regained full ROM with much lesser pain at extreme angles.

pain only at left medial knee.

lots of trigger points located at calves.

think it's probably just knee sprain and i'll be back running in 2 weeks. but i'll play safe this time, give it at least 1 month while doing stability work on my knee. 

ok guys, knee is stability, not mobility. (to those who sms me to do mobility work la. aha)

i'm recovering well, maybe due to smfr, maybe pain killer, maybe the cream or maybe everything.

it's serious this time...

have a good plan for the weekend but it was messed up by stupid people.


was playing right mid today, a loose ball down the right flank....

first defender was there for the ball, i skipped and another came right after him. he caught my shin when my left foot just landed on the floor.

fuck you number 19. believe in retribution aka karma if you dont know the definition.

what goes round come around. 

i can barely walk now. will monitor this injury for a day or 2 before deciding what action to take. I hope it's really nothing serious.

no pcl, acl, any kind of ligament, muscle injury.

once again, fuck you no 19.

great that our team won, you fucking fuck.

it's just a fucking game that's suppose to be recreational. who cares about result? damm you la number 19. nightmare will haunt you.

but then my gf is very swee.

take care of my soccer chore, bring me medication (feeling feverish now) and went to get dinner for me. TEEHEE

TVA Activation

One of the greatest misconceptions about core training: sit ups or crunches. These 2 exercises will only hit your rectus abdominal and it does not train according to the function of the muscle.

Rectus abdominals are used to prevent movement (spine extension) instead of creating movement (spine flexion).

I will not be explaining the function of core. I will just name the 3 of them.

  1. Thoracolumbar stabilization mechanism
  2. Intra-abdominal pressure mechanism
  3. Hydraulic amplifier mechanism

Sparing all theory parts about how core work, I’ll write about how to train them (with progression). Part 1 will cover only the basic.

Before we can go about doing side bridge/plank & other advance exercises, we must know how to activate our transverse abdominal (TVA). TVA is located under your rectus abdominal. It is a muscle which many people do not know how to train and this is 1 of the reason why there’s so many of you suffering from lower back pain. (especially if you do a lot of crunches)

How to activate TVA

Get into 4-point position. 
Hands below shoulders and knee below hip.
Spine will be straight with a slight arch at lower back. 
Use a pole to help to get into this position. 
3 contact points - butt, upper back and head.

Contract your pelvic floor muscle.**
Tuck in your stomach, ie belly button moving towards the spine.

Some points to note.

  1. There will be no movement at any part of your body except that your belly button will move towards the spine).
  2. Any part of body include chest, lower back moving etc.
  3. All your muscle except pelvic floor muscle and TVA will be relaxed totally.
  4. This also means that your rectus abdominal must feel soft.
  5. Carry on breathing at all times. (But it's different from normal breathing though)

If you are wondering how to do it, there’s no way it can be demonstrated online. (even with a video) Ask someone experience to guide you.

This technique is also called hollowing.

**To activate pelvic floor muscle, imagine that your poos poos are coming out and you need to squeeze your butt area to stop it from coming out.
